Come and Give Me Some of That Yum Yum

Last summer’s synopsis: From the blazing pits of fire (your hibachi) emerged charred remains (your steak) on the prongs of a grill fork.

At least there was plenty to drink.

This year, keep firefighters from knowing you on a first-name basis with a personal grill chef. Tiny catering company Yum Yum has just launched a convenient new customized program for backyard hosts without a BBQ clue.

Book a grill master for your parents’ anniversary party, to class up the boyfriend’s birthday, or to upgrade the lame — er, so much fun on a Saturday! — company picnic.

Fare includes porterhouse beef sliders on brioche buns, mahi mahi tacos, dogs with fixin’s, pineapple with rum-butter glaze. For those who aren’t grilling impaired, Yum Yum can drop off fresh juice mixers (blood orange margaritas), sides (potato salad with pancetta), and velvety cupcakes for dessert.

Could be your new summer flame.
