Forgive the pom-pom shaking.
It’s just that we’ve been gearing up for fall, and these NYC designers do not disappoint.
Take local label Keller, which deserves a song and dance for boy-meets-girl looks that mix sophisticated and sloppy.
Think of the ease with which you can slip into a high-waist ruffle skirt with elastic waistband. Or a roomy trench with rounded collar. Schoolboy blazers have patched pockets; knickers bunch at the bottom; thin white tees hang off the shoulder.
Beautifully masculine ankle books look like they’ve come out of hiding from a century ago. In gray or black (quilted with slender laces), they’ll make you kick up your heels, induce toe-tapping.
And all that jazz.
