Been dressing the part all year: renegade cowboy, Roman gladiator, ’70s harlot (thanks American Apparel!). But not leading the lifestyle.
That retro porn star outfit you’ve been wearing to work is better suited for the rink. Putting the rah-rah back into the Roxy spirit, 75-year-old skating sage Lezly Ziering is starting a weekly roller disco party, Crazy Legs Skate Club. The first one’s tonight! — at a Salvation Army gym bordering Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy.
Ziering reports gorgeous wood floors and space for 200. BYO skates; there are no rentals. Lessons are 6:30-7:45 p.m.; open session is 8 p.m.-midnight.
The great skate DJs will be there, along with old-school Roxy regulars, the Central Park skate circle, and their choreographed moves.
So lace up and get on the floor. Don’t let life roll by.
Crazy Legs Skate Club, Salvation Army Gym, 110 Kosciuszko Street, between Nostrand and Marcy Avenues, Bedford-Stuyvesant. For more information, go to crazylegsskateclub.com.
