But you can’t renounce all your guilty pleasures: MTV’s new shows Bromance and The City premiere on December 29.

In Bromance, regular guys compete in an all-out dude feud for the chance to become best buds with The Hills alum Brody Jenner. (If heterosexual man love doesn’t warm your cockles, what will?) The last man standing wins a posh penthouse pad, plus a spot in Brody’s entourage.

The City follows Whitney Port as she leaves The Hills for a job at New York’s haute design house Diane von Furstenberg. Amidst new friends, foes, and gentlemen callers, Whitney must navigate the cutthroat fashion industry.

You can tune into Whitney’s solo expedition at 10 p.m., but first, cuddle up with the bros at 9.

After all, “more men” is your other resolution.
