All aboard the Trigo Tribeca express. Now leaving the station, making stops at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving Mediterranean bistro cuisine.
In the first car, a hand-hammered brass bar, specializing in boutique wines from around the Mediterranean. Italy, Spain, and Greece, but also Turkey and Morocco. Have your tickets out for more than 30 available by the glass. In a few weeks, Puddle Jumper service will offer varietals from interesting parts of the new world — Brazil, Peru, Argentina.
In the dining car, snacks from the wood-fire oven include flatbreads topped with tomato, egg, and garrotxa. Various cured, smoked, and confit fish; plenty of salumi and market-driven antipasti. Don’t miss watercress soup with poached duck egg or lamb spare ribs with mushroom fries.
The striking room — black and white tiles, floor-to-ceiling windows, pendant bulbs — was inspired by old European train stations. Yes, it does kinda remind you of Les Halles.
Enjoy the ride.
