Green and Bare It

Bodkin Ecoclothing Collection

You spend your time worrying (did you say polystyrene or Styrofoam?) and debating (throwing gum in the street is littering). But if you want to feel downright verdant and totally at ease, try Bodkin’s frisky ecoclothing collection.

Designer Eviana Hartman, who received Ecco Domani’s first Sustainable Design award, earned street cred writing an eco column for The Washington Post, working at Vogue, and creating the collection’s first two seasons with Samantha Pleet.

She’s now on her own, and the results of her research are evident in the conscious content (recycled PET nylon, locally dyed Ahimsa silk, organic garment care labels) and modern concepts (structural Parabola dress, everyday-amazing Distortion tank, sexy but staid Orbit shorts).

The line has just been released at some of our favorite boutiques, so you can go from bare to Bodkin posthaste.

It’s that easy.

Available at Steven Alan, 103 Franklin Street, at Church Street (212-343-0692); I Heart, 262 Mott Street, between Houston and Prince Streets (212-219-9265); Bird, 220 Smith Street, at Butler Street, Cobble Hill (718-797-3774).
