Skella!

Trolling for winter items, we came up with a lot of the things you saw last winter.

Knee-high boots.
Cowl-neck sweaters.
Um. Pashminas.

And though we swore (really we did) that we’d never write about the breed, we stumbled upon the prettiest “wraps.” So we couldn’t resist.

It was at Skella, a tiny shop on Orchard Street, that we spotted the sheerest scarves in weaves that looked more like downy gauze than a winter throw. The proprietor called them “water cashmere” but here’s what we saw: There was the “open check” weave, the “chiffon” weave, (which had a wavy pattern sewn into it) and so on. Skella’s palette features more than 40 colors ranging from pastels to deep, saturated earthy tones?

The items (we still refuse to utter the word), retail for $350 apiece, but are 10 percent off for DailyCandy subscribers who come in waving this e-mail. Better yet, buy two and get 20 percent off. Buy three and …?

First snow, anyone?
