No matter which way you rub them, there are some stuffed animals that stand the test of time.
Add the velvet plush by textile designer (and new dad) Kevin O’Brien to the list. Each of his homegrown creatures is made from recycled hand-painted fabric scraps sewn together anew.
Known for his luxe linens, O’Brien has turned to owls, elephants, turtles, and squirrels that are just as cozy to snuggle up with. And since each animal is handcrafted, sizes, colors, and materials (woven jacquards, printed cotton velvets, silks, and linens) all vary slightly, making for a one-of-a-kind friend.
Without anything ugly about it.
