You don’t much care for leftovers. And old boyfriends who resurface after five years can bite it.
But some things really are better the second time around.
So it is with Sariah Carson, whose eponymous clothing line we love.
After her first effort, Carson Potter, a collaboration with a fellow Parsons grad, grew too big too fast, Carson packed her knives (or scissors, rather) and went. She’s now sewing solo and turning out designs for feminine dresses, skirts, and tops in her tiny Staten Island studio.
The vintage-inspired shapes are impeccably constructed by hand right here in New York City from crisp silk (original prints are hand-painted by Carson herself) for wearing now and layering later.
You won’t mind putting them on repeat.
