Bacaro’s New Late-Night Menu
Our favorite Chinatown haunt launches later-than-midnight snacks (of the Venetian pub variety).
Why: Spicy fried meatballs, stuffed zucchini blossoms, and salami for nibbling in a subterranean nook.

What: One Canadian-turned-Frenchman provides a rare combination of exceptional classical piano skills, hip-hop references, comedy, and philosophical (musical) chatter.
Why: Very special appearances by Jamie Lidell and Andrew W.K.

Photos, Art, and Design Pieces from Latin America
For its themed series of auctions, the house presents works by established and emerging artists who are inspired by the spirit of the southern continent.
Why: Stalk your prey this week; make your move next.

The Kitchen Block Party
Artists from the indie institution prepare collaborative sculptures, hula-hooping workshops, and lessons in double Dutch.
Why: It’s got just about everything but the Kitchen’s sink.

Where: W. 19th St., b/t Tenth & Eleventh Aves.

Le Fooding Comes to the U.S.
Six chefs from Paris join six from NY to create an egalitarian, picnic-style dine-in for folks who are hungry for a new food scene. One hundred percent of ticket sales support Action Against Hunger.
Why: Oh, plus DJs, butchers, a vintner, mixologists, and an ice cream maker.
When: Fri. & Sat., 6-10 p.m.
Where: P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, 22-25 Jackson Ave., at 46th Ave., LIC. Info at Advanced tix are sold out, but you can pay at the door.

Lebowski Fest

What: Position yourself as The Dude at this homage to the bowling noir tour de force, complete with ponytails, white Russians, and, well, bowling.
Why: This should convince you.
