Though you can buttle with the best of them, we won’t need a personal gentleman at the Crosby Street Hotel.

The UK hotel chainlet has thought of everything: screening room with Poltrona Frau hot orange leather seats, honesty bars, salons for meetings, leafy outdoor patio exclusively for guests, and enough locally sourced materials to bring the building up to LEED standards.

It was a good run with you, by Jove! But co-owner Kit Kemp has made the place high design and homey. She up-decorated like a stylist on a LaChapelle shoot: commissioned wild artwork (she likes animals) and bold furniture, upholstered walls with tactile textiles. Holy color wheel — aubergine, fuchsia, teal, and chartreuse stake claims as the new black.

Do stay long enough for afternoon tea, a veritable spinning tea cup ride for the neighborhood (whimsy, color, patterns, and characters at every turn).

Let yourself out the sally port on Lafayette Street.
