DailyCandy Goes Wireless

Heads up, cell phone junkies: You can now get DailyCandy wireless!

Thanks to Upoc, the hipper-than-hip mobile messaging brand, you can now receive your daily updates (albeit in abbreviated form) on your cell phone.

Meaning that at 8 a.m., you can do a 180, call in sick, and be first in line at the Helmut Lang sample sale. You can snatch that pair of Frankie B. jeans before any of your friends. You can even scoop everyone and make that Friday-night dinner reservation at that new spot before the reservationist pulls the “we have a table at 6:30 or 10:30” attitude.

Upoc works with any digital mobile phone, alphanumeric pager, or device with an e-mail address. Compatible with most phone carriers, it’s free, and allows phone-to-phone, phone-to-PC, and PC-to-phone messaging, both to groups and to individuals. You can join groups (public or private), or start your own.

Just saw Gywneth eating chicken Parmigiana at Roc and can’t keep the news to yourself? Beam it to the folks on “NYC Celeb Sightings.”

So tell your friends, or keep it to yourself. It’s your call if you want the world to know that there’s a pair of size 7 Prada mules just waiting to be had at the sample sale.
