You never know when you’ll be asked to show your bra on Chatroulette or a game of Bananagrams will turn into a full-on make-out session (talk about a banana in the pocket).
But you’ll always be prepared with Unforeseen Circumstances — a new, made-in-NYC lingerie line from Teo Griscom (codesigner of Jackson, Johnston & Roe).
Inspired by a bedroom in Paris (who hasn’t been enlightened in one?) and ballet costumes, the collection’s got flirty Pretty Baby-era tap pants, sheer bras with cotton straps, and delicately pleated silk camis. Hook-and-eye closures lend a vintage eroticism, and flashes of emerald green silk give a jolt to the otherwise pale palette.
Griscom also takes custom orders, so you can get exactly what you want.
And be ready for a tumblr in the hay.
Available at Castor & Pollux, 238 West 10th Street, between Hudson and Bleecker Streets (212-645-6572 or castorandpolluxstore.com). To see styles, go to unforeseencircumstances.com.
