Sneezy and sniffly were barely out the door when feverish and achy showed up to play. If a run on sick days has depleted your toddler’s DVD collection, draw his attention elsewhere.
Scribbling babes and art aficionados alike will love Between the Lines: a Coloring Book of Drawings by Contemporary Artists, Volume 2, the latest from RxArt, a nonprofit dedicated to brightening the spirits — and physical spaces — of hospital patients in NYC and around the country.
It’s a fantastic collection of 54 original line drawings by contemporary artists like Takashi Murakami, Raymond Pettibon, Ed Ruscha, Cynthia Rowley, and Alison Saar. Kids make the art their own by adding colorful flourishes and stickers designed by Nate Lowman and Mickalene Thomas.
