Some things require patience and plotting. (See: finding the love of your life, getting a table at Momofuku Ko.)
But if you want one of Kate Miss’s handmade necklaces, you’d better move fast.
Her original designs are inspired by woven friendship bracelets. With vintage-inspired chains and colorful cotton and wool thread, they’re a sophisticated take on a childhood tradition. The simple brass drops necklaces pair well with the woven ones or look great alone. A third style has brass beads on braided thread. It’s a sort of hybrid of its predecessors (and we’re mad for it).
Graphic designer by day/craftstress by night, Miss makes the necklaces in her Long Island City studio. The next batch goes up tomorrow at 9 a.m., and she predicts a sellout in about fifteen minutes.
You snooze, you lose.
