You’ve always said you’d wear a bathing suit if it could make you look like Brigitte Bardot.
Until that miracle comes to pass, check out new line Lilibon. The sexy, custom-made French lace suits are designed by Emilie Bon in her Clinton Hill brownstone but look like something the inimitable ba-da-boom Bardot would wear.
Bon’s bohemian childhood on the French Riviera inspired the collection’s saucy Gallic style and sunset-on-the-beach palette (cream, rose pink, periwinkle, and gray). Our favorite is the Nouch ($198), a ’50s-inspired one-piece with a delicate frill around the boy-cut bottom and a plunging back modeled after a vintage nightie.
After a day at the beach, Bon suggests throwing on cutoffs and a loose button-down over the Nouch (no need to change to get back on the LIRR). That’s some serious day-into-evening.
Available at Stuart & Wright, 85 Lafayette Avenue, between South Elliott Place and South Portland Avenue, Fort Greene (718-797-0011 or stuartandwright.com); online at lilibonnyc.com, $170-$198.
