I Am Not (Just) a Tote Bag

LauLau Handbags

lau lau bags!

Canvas totes are the new plastic bags, sure, but how many times have you missed a train because your MetroCard was lost in your bag’s abyss?

Quit playing go fish and upgrade to a LauLau bag, designed by Hawaiian Michele Lau.

Lau, who interned at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Sophomore, and Samantha Pleet, noticed how many NYC ladies carry fathomless plain totes, so she jazzed them up with zippers, chain straps, and — mercifully — loads of pockets.

Besides coming in megacute, NYC-sourced fabrics (polka dots, rosebuds, tie-dye, color blocking), totes have short and long handles, so you have the option of briefcase-style or shoulder-slung carrying.

Take a Mrs. Robinson approach to a pack rat-friendly sac in leopard and double the chain to form ladylike handles. Or capture the last days of summer with a long-strapped chambray pouch. No matter what you choose, all those inside and outside pockets means you’re never at a loss.

Available online at laulaunyc.com, $48-$145.

I had to comment on this, I don't mean to sound harsh, but really? These totes do not warrant being shown on Daily Candy. I'm sorry but I have to say- Come on now!
