Anatomique
Anatomique Store
Sometimes therapy and meds aren’t enough. That’s why shopping was invented: To satisfy all the complex aspects of the chronically acquisitive personality.
Never mind the shrink?Anatomique, the Paris-based design store has gone digital. Anatomique.com features a slew of modern, chic, sometimes totally off-the-wall gadgets and home furnishings?all designed to satisfy every neurosis you can think of.
For the addict, there’s the Aero Lung Ashtray, a stainless-steel creation shaped like a pair of lungs. (Not funny.)
For the procrastinator with an overzealous appetite, Anatomique sells Week to View fridge magnets, colorful wipe-on/wipe-off rubber things on which the lazy bum can scrawl reminders while reaching for another pint of Ben & Jerry’s.
For the obsessive naturalist, the “BIO” Top made from woven milk protein (yes, from that mammal that moos) and purportedly feels like silk.
Our favorite, and the ultimate way to keep warm in form, is the Hot Springs Radiator, a shiny, steel thing. It looks like a big Slinky, and is sure to be a conversation piece in any apartment.
After all, if you missed the 3:50 p.m. with the shrink, what else are you going to talk about?
