The Weekend Guide

perfect harmony!

Once more, with feeling.

Perfect Harmony
What: Hormone- and melody-crazed teen warblers battle it out a cappella (Rihanna, Europe, Cyndi Lauper) in preparation for their debut on MTV3.
Why: A gut-busting monologue from talent manager and brazen camel toe advocate Kiki Tune and Herzegovinian rants on the Sex Pistols, tractor accidents, and goat loving.
When: Thru Nov. 13.
The Acorn Theatre, 410 W. 42nd St., at Ninth Ave. (212-714-2442). Tickets ($38-$45) online at broadwayoffers.com with promo code DAILYCANDY.

Rouge et Blanc
A 1940s-inspired French Vietnamese tavern (dropped silk ceiling, distressed paint, cozy two-tops) run by a Francophile sommelier offers bone marrow, frog’s legs, and late-night banh mi at the bar, and fifteen painstakingly selected wines by the glass.
Why: For an innocent drink and piquant conversation with your long lost bosom buddy, darling ingenue, or wily lothario.
When: Mon.-Sat., 6 p.m.-midnight.
Where: 48 MacDougal St., b/t Houston & Prince Sts. (212-260-5757).

The John Dory Oyster Bar Opens

What: Ken Friedman’s salute to bivalves has Jules Verne touches (patina-destined copper surfaces, globular fish-filled sconces), wine on tap, and a drink menu devised by Sasha Petraske.
Why: Reserve the twelve-seat chef’s table to admire the works of April Bloomfield and LIC artist Michael Davis (his crustacean screen-printed tiles practically glow).
When: Opens Fri. afternoon. Daily, noon-2 a.m.
Where: 1196 Broadway, at 29th St. (212-792-9000).

Gadgets and Gizmos for Techies
