You’d think the Etsy search result for “cat sweatshirt” would put the kibosh on Valentine’s Day dreams.

You’d be (mostly) right.

But that query led us to Brooklyn-based, San Diego-born artist Leah Reena Goren. Primarily an illustrator, she also sews the cropped fleeces (adorned with kitties, obviously), roomy tees, tented minidresses, and tanks that serve as canvases for her prints. She then stamps or silk-screens them with motifs like bacon, fungi, ankhs, and roses.

Production is limited (she’s a full-time Parsons student and does flat drawings and patterns for Mary Meyer), but Goren’s spreading the love with two V-Day cutout hearts created exclusively for us.

We’re already feeling frisky.
