Turn back the clocks to view nothing-short-of-spectacular accessories (compacts, jeweled minaudières, perfume bottles, pillboxes, hair pins, parasols) from the Victorian era to the 1970s. Co-curated by Elizabeth Doyle and fashion editor Lynn Yaeger, the exhibit invites you to marvel over an 1870s-era buckle set with gold, diamond, and sapphire stones; an art deco gold-and-sterling silver compact with rose-cut diamond and jadeite from 1925; a vintage cigarette box engraved with a map of European cities marked with cabochon rubies from 1914; a vintage Tiffany & Co. telephone dialer from 1960 (think Breakfast at Tiffany’s); and more.
