A few weeks ago, we took on a punishing challenge: finding the newest and best small-batch ice cream flavors from around the country. We know, we know, but somebody had to do it. So we picked up our spoons, unbuttoned our shorts, and scooped away.
After testing 31 pints, we rated them on a highly unscientific scale judging taste, look, and creativity. There were fruits, cheese, avocado, and tree sap (sounds weird, but that’s what maple syrup is, essentially). We utilized 90 spoons and gained 5.3 pounds — all in the name of research. Here are the results.
