Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!
Superhero Fashion Show

Meanwhile, back at headquarters …
Kabaam! The bulletin comes in: There’s activity afoot at The Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company, home of the SuperLits, who use their extraordinary powers to teach local kids the fine art of writing in free, daily tutoring sessions.
The clairvoyance alert turns green: Do they need your speed reading? Your super-sonic spelling? No, just your agile wallet and charming presence. On Thursday, October 20, they’re hosting a fashion show of crime-fighting attire designed by such fashion vigilantes as Rebecca Taylor, Zac Posen, Behnaz Sarafpour, Marc Jacobs, and Built by Wendy.
You (and your secret identity and/or heroic alter ego) can watch superpowers and sidekicks like Amy Sedaris, Le Tigre, and The Daily Show correspondents walk the runway. Ker-pow!
To follow: film shorts, musical interludes, and performances by Sarah Vowell and the inimitable Edna Mode of Incredibles fame. (Daaaahling!) The evening’s host will be John Hodgman, all-around heartthrob and author of the highly anticipated The Areas of My Expertise.
All proceeds benefit the writing lab at 826NYC, which will continue to inspire children to leap tall buildings in a single paragraph.
Hurry, Captain Social Circuit: Tickets will be going faster than a speeding bullet.
