Planet Thailand

Thai Privilege Spa Opens

take me there!

There are all kinds of reasons why all kinds of people are hooked on all things Pan-Asian.

Lush landscapes, aromatic foods, cheap plastic surgery (tsk, tsk), and the other things we can’t mention (tsk again): New Yorkers just can’t get enough.

Looks like they can’t get enough of us, either. Case in point: Thai Privilege Spa, a 6,500-square-foot sanctuary opening its first U.S. outpost today in the heart of SoHo.

Already a staple in Bangkok, Phuket, and Shanghai, TPS’s is the first wellness center recognized by the Thai government as an authority on relaxation, health, and Thai spa luxury. (Understandable once you’ve had the free ginger tea and luxe footbath.)

Everything here is soothing, from the dark woods and billowing canopies to the therapists (who seem to speak with their eyes closed). Go for treatments like Siam Aroma (a.k.a. Thai massage), cranial therapy, and the aloe vera mask. Leave with deep wisdom and well-being (well, a little more, at least).

We know what you’re thinking: pretty en-Thai-cing.

Thai Privilege Spa, 155 Spring Street, between Wooster Street and West Broadway, 2nd floor (212-274-8121 or thaiprivilegespa.com).
