Hoot, There It Is
Owl’s Lab

Hey, all you (solitary, nocturnal, wise) birds:
Fix your binocular vision on Owl’s Lab. The finishing touches are just being added to the new shop (where Addict once lived), but there are plenty of clothes to prey upon.
The GV boutique, with its blond wood and river rocks, is merchandised by style: Front racks are for girly girls, filled with flowy things by Vena Cava, Ilana Moses, and Graham & Spencer. The midsection caters to rockers/punks — teeny miniskirts, Eugenia Kim hats, Ksubi (formerly Tsubi) denim, and West Coast staples like C&C, Paul & Joe, and Mike & Chris.
In the back hang business-appropriate pieces like sleek Chaiken suits, Alice + Olivia slacks, Lidi trousers, and Iisli tops. (Hallelujah, say the people with real jobs.)
In between are shelves of Smashing Grandpa tanks, Garçon’s super soft tees, and hard-to-find Bryna Nicole handbags.
You’ll turn your head a whole 135 degrees.
Owl’s Lab, 20 East 12th Street, between Fifth Avenue and University Place (212-633-2672).
