Saddle Up
The Saddle Shoe Comeback

This next portion of American Bandstand is sponsored by Camper Twins, the latest craze to gain a foothold on the dance floor.
Capezios and jazz shoes, please step aside. The new two-tone saddle shoe has taken center stage in Brooklyn’s rockabilly underground. Now you can jump and bebop for a pair of your own. (Bandstanders, that’s a six-count pattern, two side steps, and a lift.)
The throwback kicks come in some sharp shades of gray (darker instep, lighter toe box) with a black patent leather vamp and thin cord laces.
They also have a bit of cushioning and look swinging with a little something that’s fitted and nipped at the waist. Roll up your jeans to show off the sheen and get ready to do the stroll, the jive, the jitterbug, the subway ride, and the walk home.
As these puppies can be rocked around the clock.
Available at Camper, 125 Prince Street, at Wooster Street (212-358-1842).
