Well Polished

Carolyn New York Nail Polish

paint the town red!

Funny how it’s only when you take a vacation from the city that you realize how much you love it.

Insure against homesickness by stashing a bottle of Carolyn New York nail polish in your carry-on. The new range of nail paints by celebrity manicurist (and native NYer) Carolyn Cianciotto was inspired by city living.

Each shiny hue tells a story about one of the five boroughs, from Staten Italy (fuchsia) to NY Stock X (a conservative, neutral pink). Blackout in the Bronx is a matte black that recalls the summer of ’77, when Cianciotto lived there.

Snowing in the Park (French tip white), Mugged on the 6 Train (rock and roll purple), Poppy Chulo (raspberry frost), and Dark Side of the City (electric blue) all kept up nicely in our unofficial rounds of pedicure testing (which involved pounding the streets in flip-flops all weekend).

The sleek little vials will set you back only seven bucks a pop.

That’s keeping New York at your fingertips.
