Rock and Roll Model
Education Through Music

We’ve all had our Maria von Trapps.
Someone who led rounds of “Puff the Magic Dragon” and stressed the importance of rhythm (which is still paying off in Dance Dance Revolution points).
Unfortunately, many public schools can’t afford music programs anymore, which is where Education Through Music comes in. They partner with inner city schools in New York and L.A. to provide year-long music instruction for more than 8,000 students in grades pre-K through eighth.
It’s halfway through the first semester and they need some help — raising awareness, raising funds. Join their Young Associates Program and work on projects like the battle of the bands benefit committee. Or volunteer to help out around the offices.
Because if the hills are alive with the sound of music, shouldn’t the city streets be, too?
