Chair of the Bored
Real Good Chair

Holiday dinners are just around the corner. Ready for a game of musical chairs?
Then make room for the Real Good chair from design collaborative Blu Dot. Constructed of powder-coated steel, it’s thin, sturdy, and rump ready.
Launched at ICFF, the smart piece of furniture gained attention for its origami-like appearance: Laser-cut perforated lines allow it to be creased and bent to perfection by its owner. (The bright, shiny colors even remind us of those Japanese paper squares.) Each seat comes in a flat box, which means you can pick up a few and transport them by yourself on the subway.
And at $99 a pop, they’re an affordable way to add high design to your dinner conversation.
All right, everyone take a seat.
Available at The Future Perfect, 115 North 6th Street, at Berry Street, Williamsburg (718-599-6278); online at bludot.com.
