Dedicated E-mail: Margot at the Wedding

She’s your biggest fan, your toughest critic, your place to vent, and your reason for venting.
She’s your sister. And even though she’s got a real knack for saying I love you and I hate you in the same breath, she’s always got your back at the end of the day. Right?
Margot at the Wedding, the touching new film from The Squid and the Whale director Noah Baumbach, seeks to answer that question for sisters Margot and the soon-to-be-wed Pauline.
Margot (Nicole Kidman) is a sharp-tongued member of the literati, the antithesis of her free-spirited sister Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh). From the second Margot meets Pauline’s endearing fiance, Malcolm (Jack Black), she openly criticizes him and questions the marriage, fully taking advantage of Pauline’s vulnerability to her opinions.
As the wedding approaches, the women face more and more challenges, from vengeful neighbors to Margot’s own disintegrating marriage, culminating in a realistic examination of familial endurance.
Something you and your sister know a lot about.
