Banksy Does New York
What: The first proper (yet unauthorized) exhibit from the sly, mischievous Brit graffiti artist.
Why: Yep, the same guy who smuggled his artwork into the Tate, propped a life-size replica of a Guantanamo detainee in Disneyland, and painted landscapes on the West Bank barrier.
When: Thru Dec. 21. Tues.-Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sun., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Le Royale
What: New anti-club in the old Luke & Leroy space presents a progressive, music driven, DJ-happy, dance-fueled Saturday night with downtown characters, electro-beats, soft lighting, booze, and a cabaret license.
Why: Live performance in every sense of the word.
When: Opens Sat. night. Test out the dance floor.

Spirits Auction
What: Christie’s hosts the first one (for whiskey, cognac, Madeira, chartreuse) in NYC since prohibition. Estimates start at $300.

Gingerbread Cocktail
What: Pichet Ong suggests 2 oz. Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, 1 oz. vanilla vodka, 2½ oz. apple cider.
Why: You get to line a martini glass with agave and graham cracker crumbs. Mix cocktail. Add lemon juice and orange zest.
When: You need a high-potency holiday drink.
