Wave ’07 Good-bye
Hollywood Heat Wave

May old, limp ponytails be forgot and never brought to mind.
Ring in the New Year with a Hollywood Heat Wave, a party-appropriate do courtesy of David Evangelista. The hair stylist just opened his salon at the Cornelia Day Resort, and he and his staff are taking appointments until 8 p.m. NYE to give old-world glamour the spotlight — on your head.
Here’s how you can DIY:
1. Prep roots and ends with volumizing mousse.
2. Blow hair with round brush, bending ends under.
3. Make a deep side part. Use a one-inch curling iron to curl hair on crown in sections toward the face (on an angle). Use pin curl clips to hold.
4. Let hair sit for an hour to lock in the wave.
5. Remove clips. Brush curls out softly.
6. Finger wave hair into an “S.” Secure with duck bill clips for twenty minutes (then remove). Tip: Place tissue on hair to prevent dents left by duck bill clips.
7. Makeup: Apply three coats of mascara and a bit of red lipstick.
8. Thank your lucky starlets.
