Dedicated E-mail: “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day”

When life deals you a blow, you say, “Gimme a blowout.” You definitely know how to make the best of a bad situation.
And so does Miss Guinevere Pettigrew.
Academy Award winner Frances McDormand plays the title role in the new film Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, and she’s utterly charming. (So is Academy Award nominee Amy Adams, but what’s new?)
Down and out one minute, in a decidedly better place the next, Miss Pettigrew’s a resourceful dame who, when fired from her nanny job, intercepts an assignment as the social secretary to glamorous socialite Delysia Lafosse (Adams). The two become friends, with Miss Pettigrew helping Delysia juggle three adoring men, and Delysia giving Miss Pettigrew a much-needed makeover.
Finding strength and balance in their bond, the pair empowers each other to discover their true romantic destinies.
And what could be better than that?
Hits theaters March 7. To watch the trailer, go to filminfocus.com.
