Listen. We need some space.

It’s not you. It’s all this excess baggage.

And it’s The Box Butler, a new white-glove storage valet. We know there are plenty of good memories from the ski vacations and golf outings. But there are accessories, too.

Yes, size matters: Pay monthly depending on container size (a $10 tote for books and files, less than $35 for a trunk that fits 25 shoe boxes), which you fill and secure yourself. There’s even a bike program — fall pickup, shrink-wrap, spring delivery — for $11.

Everything is inventoried online and can be selected and delivered ($18 for 12-24 hours; more for rush). Summer toys can be dropped off as far as the Hamptons, Fire Island, or Jersey Shore. As soon as we figure out where our share house will be.

That’s about the level of commitment we can handle right now.
