Now That’s Plume Fantastic

Plume Jewelry Collection

play the accordion!

If you had a dime for every Parsons grad you SuperPoked, you’d be $20 richer (hello, that’s still a whopping 200 Facebook friends and six falafel sammies from Mamoun’s).

Toss another coin on the pile with Plume, a jewelry collection by Parsons alum and LES cutie Pamela Johnston.

Johnston’s pieces aren’t your run-of-the-mill semiprecious blah blah blah. Her new Being There collection features grosgrain ribbon folded accordion style and wrapped into spooled pendants, and dainty sterling silver studded knot earrings. (She does all the metalwork herself; imagine Flashdance). But it’s the Woodland necklace, with its dozens of puzzle piece-shaped wood chips hung on thick ribbon, that’s sure to start a fire.

The jewels are innovative yet wearable, large-and-in-charge but not tacky. And they’re not outlandishly pricy, either.

Though you’ll need more than that Andrew Jackson.
