Cross Over
Jewish Rosaries

Religion (like politics and panty size) will always be a sensitive subject.
But you don’t need to be a Bible-thumper or a Torah-toter to appreciate Jewish Rosaries.
The Jewess behind the jewels, Carlen Altman, always loved the delicate beauty and deep V-shape of vintage rosaries. But instead of wearing the real deal, she launched a necklace collection inspired by the religious beads, repurposing traditional symbols as fashion tchotchkes.
Cheeky charms like mini matzohs, tiny Torahs, classic stars of David, and delicate doves come in silver or gold. Glow-in-the-dark strands up the kitsch factor. But it’s the thimble-size ship on the Noah’s Ark rosary that really caught our eye.
And made us true believers.
