Mama: Cletus! Granny was just expressin’. How could you blame her — those lush vocal cameos from that sweet boy Antony from Antony and the Johnsons, those lovely horn riffs, the majestically blended nods to disco and house.

Granny: Those Brooklynites really love their mythological themes. And drama queens! And that boom-boom beat in “Raise Me Up?!” I know what I’m gon’ raise up.
