Pet Shop Boy
J. Penry Pet Portraits

Nobody loves you when you’re down and out, except your dog (the very root of your petophilia).
Immortalize that slobbering furball with a pet illustration by Greenpoint artist J. Penry. The Southern boy’s melodramatic, off-kilter images have graced album covers and the pages of Vice, but he also does hysterical drawings of the barking or meowing creature you let kiss you on the mouth.
Send in a picture and description; Penry will deliver your twisted fantasies (12-by-16 inches or smaller).
Your chow chow’s a shit-kicker? Devil horns for his head. That Alaskan malamute deadpans as a sybarite? He’ll do with a jaunty derby cap. Personifying features such as bow ties and cigars are added at Penry’s discretion, nicknames are scribbled as subscript.
Mount your piece above the mantel. Lest your beloved gets his filthy paws on it.
