What: A new doc about the complicated tradition of floats, parades, beads, and masquerades of the segregated Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama.

Good Wood 2008: Give Back
What: A Detroit art show comes east for a skateboard-inspired auction and party.
Why: Benefits AllDayBuffet, an org that brings together social and creative cultures.
