Rainbow Connection

J4 Denim and Colour Project Jeans

you need some colour!

We were tired of the denim craze, too.

Those garish embellishments. Ancient hand-looming techniques. Zany washes. Bazillion dollar price tags.

Whatever happened to good old dungarees (as Mom calls them)? We think we’ve found their spirit in Italian brand J4 Denim and Colour Project, a new jeans label that keeps it simple with two classic styles (skinny or boot) and two washes (dark or white).

The little detail that makes the difference? Colorful stitching in pink, red, octane blue, orange, emerald, yellow, and electric blue. It gives the standard pant leg and waist just the slightest bit of oomph.

Without, may we add, the price tag blues.

Available at Henri Bendel, 712 Fifth Avenue, at 56th Street (212-247-1100).
