Samples for Ecompassion
What: A socially conscious sample sale with deep discounts (up to 80 percent) on Edun, Theory, DVF, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Vince.
Why: Sales benefit Somaly Mam, a nonprofit dedicated to ending human trafficking. Additionally, a tree will be planted with each sale.

Where: Monster Island Building, Secret Project Robot, 112 River St., at Metropolitan Ave., Williamsburg.

Kristiana Pärn’s Somersaults
What: Brooklyn artist’s acrylic renderings of arctic friends from childhood moments in Estonia.
Why: No need for acrobatic feats. Just ride the subway.
