Former New Yorker Elizabeth Kiester was luckier. During a volunteer vacation to Cambodia, she fell madly in love with the colors and people of the country. The totally fabulous (and really brave) fashion editor and one-time creative director for LeSportsac ditched everything for something completely unconventional: a clothing boutique in Siem Reap.

The result is Wanderlust, dedicated to beautiful things handmade by Cambodian women. Its range includes colorful dresses and tops; wooden bangles, basket bracelets, and a silk tie necklace we can’t stop thinking about; espadrilles and flip-flops for kicking around; inexpensive Jackie O sunglasses and scarves; and more.
