Greetings Earthlings

Postcarden Living Garden Cards

postcarden!

You’ve said it with flowers, chocolates, poetry and — on many drunken occasions — your finger.

Conventional methods of communication not cutting it anymore? Say it with Postcarden: the pop-up greeting card that transforms into a mini living garden.

The brainchild of London-based gift company A Studio for Design, the charming, beautifully illustrated missive is available in three motifs: Allotment, City and Botanical Garden. The card arrives flat packed by regular post complete with cress seeds that need nothing more than watering.

A few days later, the recipient will have a garden. No muck, no weeds. And egg and cress sandwiches for two to three weeks.

Bloomin’ genius.

I see that you have removed your promotional reference to gratituitous domestic violence, however you have posted neither explanation nor apology. Since Daily Candy does not see fit to respond opening to this I have sent an inquiry to the company directly. Really people what are you thinking?

Your fist? You have to be kidding, not at all sure why you would think this is a useful or otherwise entertaining comment - I am certain those who have been on the receiving end of that fist, drunken or not, would find your comment more than snide. An apology is needed.....

Having been a follower of your daily emails and enjoying the interesting topics, reviews, products you write about, I find this particular email entirely inappropriate and wish to complain about the content. You've started off this email with a positive and then mentioned something totally inappropriate and unacceptable as if is normal behaviour for everyone and matter of fact - I am of course referring to the sentence "..and on one drunken occassion a fist". The assumption that this is the case for the reader of the email does not make for a positive read or even entice one to carry on reading. I can't work out what I find most upsetting; the fact that you have mentioned domestic violence in such a casual manner or the fact that a gift is in any way a compensation or apology for domestic violence. Something like that is no light matter and you should refrain from using such casual references. My partner would never dream of raising a fist to me, even in a drunken moment - so I certainly don't wish to open my inbox to find such an email in such casual reference to myself. And what about those who are subjected to it? You are suggestion it can be excused through a gift? Those who are victims of domestic violence would entirely disagree. Yours sincerely, A very dissappointed reader.
