Let Red Bread rise to the occasion. The Venice-based bakery cultivates a wild yeast that triples fermentation time, giving nutrients and vitamins ample room to grow. And glutenphobes take note: It also makes Red Bread much easier to digest than regular bread.
Owners Rose and David Lawrence source local, organic ingredients and change the menu seasonally. Current selections include Russian black bread, beer baguettes, and roasted garlic loaves that will curl your toes. Artisanal preserves (strawberry basil, melon spiked with champagne) and sweets (chocolate bacon croissants, chili pepper marshmallows) also impress.
Order on the website, and if you don’t live within the delivery zone, pick it up that Sunday.
