Grocery Cafe Opens

Cardinal rule of grocery shopping: Don’t do it when you’re hungry.

Which may explain why you came home yesterday with a dozen cupcakes and a wheel of Brie the size of your head.

Next time you’re feeling peckish, head over to the cafe side of the new uber-market Grocery and fuel up with one of chef Marcie Turney’s inspired soups, salads, or sandwiches.

Celery-hued walls, antique maple, and gray penny tile echo the clean look of the space. A rotating roster of dishes includes grilled asparagus with truffle oil on Lebanese flatbread, pork carnitas sandwiches, upscale egg sandwiches, and gourmet breakfast pastries. Sip a cup of La Colombe coffee when you’re done.

The other side features a full market, where you can attend to your shopping list.
