She’s Crafty

Philadelphia Craft Mafia Hosts Fashion Show

crafty!

According to last week’s Geraldo at Large, the man, the reporter, the mustache who redefined hard-hitting TV journalism is in deep with the Philadelphia mafia.

Soon, you will be, too.

But don’t worry about sawed-offs and cement shoes. You’re gonna get taken out by a bunch of girls wielding belts, tooth-cracking jewelry, purses, and more than a few roller skates. Philadelphia Craft Mafia is taking over the Walnut Room tonight for a fashion show and craft bazaar. And rest assured that the models, Philly Roller Girls, will look sexy and kick your ass. Because they can.

Handbag designer Nicole Giordano and Guachita’s Alicia Freile join the girls from Antiquarian’s basement: Rose Green, Lisa Kelly, Rachel Breeden, and Typhaney Bennett of The Coterie; and Suzie Morris and Angela Ricci of Tomato. All are together for the first time as the Craft Mafia collective.

It’ll be a shakedown you won’t easily forget, so don’t be surprised if you leave with an empty wallet.

At least you’ll still have your teeth.

Tonight, 9 p.m., at the Walnut Room, 1709 Walnut Street, second floor (215-751-0201).
