Naked Chocolate Cafe Opens

The words “naked” and “chocolate” bring up some painful memories.

Like the moment you realized that too much of the latter makes for an unfortunate view of the former. And a little incident with a paintbrush, a pot of cocoa body paint, and some scarily soiled sheets.

Time to replace such unsavory remembrances with a new association: Naked Chocolate Cafe, a new joint venture from Tom Block, co-creator of Thomas Sweet Ice Cream, and his daughter, Sara Block.

The stylish shop serves a wide variety of chocolates and desserts handmade on the premises. Sit down and sip a hot or frozen drinking chocolate, pop a freshly whipped buttercream truffle, or nibble on “heart-healthy” dark chocolate piped with antioxidant blueberry, pomegranate, and green tea. Lots of baked goods on the menu, too.

Which makes “naked” and “chocolate” seem like a pretty exciting combo.
