Interior Dialogue

“Finally, an invite to see Hottie on Two’s place,” Apt. 5 thought as she made her way across the hall.

As she entered, Apt. 5’s eyes went wide. She owned the same loft as Hot, but his looked cool and grown-up, while hers had only a rescued couch and some DIY curtains.

“How is this possible?” she marveled.

“JJ Fox,” Hot replied casually, as he tousled his thick, wavy hair.

“Your girlfriend?” she asked, deflated. (Apt. 5 tucked her chest back into her shirt).

“Nah, just an amazing interior designer who’ll work with any budget. She takes crusty brownstones and transforms them with modern twists, while keeping the history and integrity of the buildings intact. She can lend advice, pick out furniture to complement pieces you already have, or draw up plans for renovations or complete overhauls.”

“Wow, that sounds amazing,” Apt. 5 said breathlessly. “Think I could get her number?”

Hot smiled. “Why don’t I just give you mine?”
