Working in Tandem

Made in Tandem Necklaces

made in tandem!

Mix a couples bike, strong wills, and a few pothole-ridden Philly streets, and you’ve got a sure recipe for calamity.

Or, in the case of the duo behind the Brooklyn-meets-Philly line Made in Tandem, you could end up with some truly cool jewelry.

Lizz gathers found charms and chains; Isaac carves small shapes from large chunks of wood. They merge their findings into charmingly mixed up pieces like Faceted Strap (a metal chain interwoven with leather and strung through a cube of wood), Hanging Rose (a hewn rectangle suspended by delicate chains passing through the wood and holding a large red stone), and Sweet Tooth Two (a long narrow carving that supports an amethyst).

The pieces are beautiful but unconventional enough to get noticed.

Dashing results, to say the least.
