Home Cookin'

Of late, your chances of eating a home-cooked meal have been about one in 1,000 (not counting the time you worked up the nerve to turn on your stove and paid dearly for it with your bangs).

Today your outlook will improve considerably: After 54 years, Cacia’s opens its second Philadelphia location in Northern Liberties. And the South Philly favorite that specializes in homemade pizza, stromboli, rolls, and gravy is expanding its menu.

Customers can sip Ellis coffee as they enjoy cannoli and pizzelles (made-from-scratch cinnamon buns, cookies, and pastries are coming shortly). They can laze in cafe seating as they wait for pizza to come out of the oven or use the soon-to-be connected WiFi while their authentic gravy simmers.

Cacia’s is a mix of the Old World and the New. You won’t want to leave.

As for whether you’ll want to come back, we’ll take those odds, for sure.
